The candidates, aged 16 and 19, had to go through an extensive selection process and the final decision was a difficult one. Sarah Cartmell, Administration Manager of North West Projects commented, ‘The calibre of candidates who applied for the apprenticeship positions was extremely high. I was impressed with each of the candidates that I interviewed of which the overall decision was made between myself and our Chairman, Mr Liam Ferguson. I would like to thank all candidates for their time and interest in North West Projects and wish them well in their future careers.’
The 2 apprentices joining North West Projects are Charley Stafford and Katie Howell, who are both undertaking their Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship based at our Chorley offices whilst working alongside Training 2000. Training 2000 is a charitable trust set up by a consortium of Lancashire businesses and is now one of the largest Group Training Associations in England, with over 40 years’ experience of delivering high quality work-based learning and training programmes to industry and individuals.
This is not the first time that North West Projects have taken on apprentices at our Chorley offices. In 2011, we employed three engineering apprentices who have now completed their first year in college.
